Founded in 1996, Axis Automotive Group is a privately owned automotive company based in Puerto Rico, consisting of five franchises, seven dealerships, five service centers, one body shop, and an insurance firm. With over 800 associates and sales exceeding 12,000 units in 2024, Axis Automotive Group continues to grow, driven by his vision and strong core values, under the leadership of its President, Donald Guerrero Ortiz.

1996

The story of Autocentro Toyota began with the acquisition of the Toyota service center on Muñoz Rivera Avenue, previously owned by prominent entrepreneur Pedro Gómez. Following this purchase, Donald Guerrero expanded operations that same year to include vehicle sales, marking the beginning of what is now Autocentro Toyota.

2000

A strategic alliance was established with Toyota Financial Services, making Autocentro Toyota the first dealer in Puerto Rico to operate under a Toyota Credit floorplan.

2004

The slogan “Compra Confiado” (“Buy with Confidence”) was adopted, reflecting a commitment to integrity, transparency, and customer trust as guiding principles behind every decision and transaction.

2008

Operations expanded with the opportunity to invest in Autogermana Inc.

New facilities were inaugurated on Muñoz Rivera Avenue, consolidating all services in one location.

Autogermana BMW and MINI opened a new service center in Guaynabo, the only service facility in Puerto Rico certified by both brands.

2010

The group continued its expansion with the opening of Smile Collision Center, a body shop located on Muñoz Rivera Avenue. It is currently the only Body shop  in Puerto Rico certified by both brands BMW and Toyota.

2012

Autocentro Toyota received the prestigious Toyota Service Management (TSM) certification, becoming the only service center in Puerto Rico to earn this international recognition.

2013

To support continued growth, new properties were acquired on Muñoz Rivera Avenue.

2014

The first customer loyalty program, the “VIT Program,” was launched to offer exclusive benefits and continue building lifelong relationships with our clients.

2015

A second Autocentro dealership was opened with the launch of Autocentro Nissan.

Autogermana BMW inaugurated its remodeled facilities on Chardón Avenue.

2017

The Group acquired FCA operations in Caguas, rebranding it as Autocentro Chrysler—its third store under the Autocentro name.

Autocentro Toyota unveiled its renovated facilities, designed to deliver a top-tier experience with cutting-edge innovation.

2018

The new MINI showroom was inaugurated in Puerto Rico and quickly gained recognition as “The House of MINI.”

The first Autocentro Más was inaugurated, becoming the group’s first dealership offering a curated selection of luxury pre-owned vehicles with exclusive customer benefits.

2021

A property adjacent to Autocentro Nissan was acquired, formerly occupied by Toyota de Puerto Rico.

2022

Following an investment of over $7 million, Autocentro in Caguas opened its remodeled facilities, becoming the largest dealership in the Caribbean for the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram brands.

Autocentro Más opened its first service center specializing in luxury brands.

The second Autocentro Más location opened in Guaynabo, expanding its footprint in the luxury pre-owned vehicle market.
